This policy explains how Blacktops, Inc. (“Blacktops,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through blacktops.ai (the “Site”), including the waitlist and contact forms. Blacktops, Inc. is the company responsible for this information.

Information we collect

• Waitlist form: your name, work email, company, role, engineering team size and anything you write about what you want to accelerate first.
• Contact form: your name, email address and the message you send.
• Visit information: the Site runs on WordPress.com and uses Jetpack site statistics, which record pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Your browser: the Site may store a small preference in your browser (for example, that you have seen or dismissed a reading suggestion). This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Please do not include passwords, access tokens or confidential customer records in any form.

How we use it

• To respond to you and to contact you about Blacktops, including when your team’s workspace is ready.
• To understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
• To keep the Site secure and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run the Site and process form submissions, including WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.) for hosting, form handling, security and site statistics, and email services to deliver form notifications. They may process information only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety or security.

Retention

We keep waitlist and contact submissions for as long as needed to respond and to follow up about Blacktops, and then delete them or remove identifying details, unless we are required to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example, California, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights under local law, including objecting to or restricting certain processing and lodging a complaint with a data protection authority. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Our processing is based on our legitimate interests in running the Site and responding to you, and on your consent where it applies. To make a request, use the contact form and write “Privacy request” in your message.

International transfers and security

Blacktops, Inc. is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The Site is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
